Gregory at Military Hunting and Fishing (MHAF) invited me to write a guest post on salmon fishing in northern California. I spent a lot of time thinking about why fishing is so meaningful to me, and ended up with an article about poverty and the bounty that many of the “have-nots,” including my own family, enjoy here on the coast. It’s a post about the value of wild-caught food in times when many are struggling to feed their families.

Thank you so much to MHAF for the opportunity to share this post.
